A conceptual design model that would help the task of design for participation, pointing out the kinds of interactions that motivate users, will come out as a result of 22 F. Gutierrez, N. Baloian, and G. Zurita analyzing the behavior of community members towards each proposed functionality in different kinds of communities. This is the final goal of our whole research work. As we first focus on communities linked to teaching and learning, we tested the "ranking" feature with a group of students enrolled in the Advanced Programming of Distributed Applications course at Waseda University during February 2011.
